Dynamic Posture Assessment Course

I was honestly let down by how shallow my previous teacher training was. Even after months of study, most of the time was wasted on rote memorization and just assisting instructors instead of actually building clinical reasoning or hands-on assessment skills. I knew I couldn’t just keep "going through the motions" if I wanted to survive in this field. Despite the cost, I decided to invest in RSM International Academy, and it was the best professional move I’ve ever made.

In just three weeks at RSM, I gained more usable knowledge and practical skill than I did in months of training elsewhere. After finishing the Trigger Point and Sports Massage modules, I took the Dynamic Posture Assessment Course. This intensive weekend program completely changed how I look at the human body. For the first time, I stopped just "massaging where it hurts" and started understanding how to evaluate dysfunctional movement, postural compensations, and kinetic chain breakdowns.

The most valuable part was learning to stop guessing. I finally understood how to differentiate whether a movement issue was coming from the glenohumeral joint, scapular mechanics, or lumbopelvic rhythm. By integrating biomechanics and functional anatomy, I could see exactly how faulty patterns cause tissue overload and pain. Through movement testing and functional screening, the root causes finally became clear.

The practical sessions in Chiang Mai’s glass-wall gym were a game-changer. We were filmed while walking and running, receiving direct biomechanical analysis from Hironori Ikeda (MSc Sports Medicine). In a field often lacking scientific depth, Hironori stands out as a true specialist who earned his Master’s at the University of Tsukuba—ranked #1 in Asia and #47 globally for Sports Science. His expertise is globally recognized; he has been invited as a master trainer for senior therapy teams at world-class luxury spas like Chiva-Som and has worked internationally with elite athletes, including Spanish professional basketball players and top Croatian fighters, to optimize their performance and recovery.

We went deep into spinal biomechanics and precise clinical palpation—learning to accurately identify levels like T7, T12, and L3. This level of anatomical precision is exactly what’s missing from standard schools. Hironori bridges the gap between theory and clinical reality through his work coordinating cadaver anatomy labs with Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Medicine and his contributions to human ergonomics on the Japan Industrial Standards (JIS) revision committee. His methodologies, such as the Balance Ball Yoga system validated by research at the University of Cagliari, are all grounded in this rigorous scientific approach.

This course is a must for anyone who refuses to be just a "qualified" therapist who copies techniques from YouTube. RSM International Academy teaches from decades of real-world sports medicine experience. If you’re tired of feeling like your hands aren’t growing and you want to be a professional capable of real assessment and lasting results, this is where you need to be. I walked away genuinely satisfied and, for the first time, felt like a real manual therapist.
